Top 5 landmarks in Florence
The five places most likely to end up in your Florence photobook — and what to know before you photograph them.
The Duomo & Brunelleschi's dome
463 steps run between the dome's two shells and come out on the highest point in the city.
Ponte Vecchio
Photograph it from Ponte Santa Trinita rather than from on it — standing on the bridge, the shops hide the river.
The Uffizi
Botticelli and Caravaggio, booked ahead; between the rooms the corridor windows frame the Arno.
Piazzale Michelangelo
The postcard view over the whole city, and the only spot where the dome reads at its real size.
Galleria dell'Accademia
The David stands five metres tall in a room built for it; twenty minutes is genuinely enough.
A Florence gallery ends up half architecture and half art — the dome from six streets, then forty photographs taken inside museums. The two never look right mixed together on a screen. On paper, kept in the order of the days, the pattern makes sense: you looked up in the morning and looked closely in the afternoon, and the book shows both.

Questions about your photobook
Can I keep the museum photos separate from the street photos?+
Memtach starts from date order, so a museum afternoon already sits together as its own run of pages. If you want a stricter split, rearrange the pages into two sections before ordering and add a note at the head of each. Nothing locks you to the chronological version.
Can I add context to the Duomo photos?+
Memtach offers a few facts per recognised landmark and you choose what to use. Brunelleschi's dome holds the best of them: it is still the largest masonry dome ever built, and exactly how he raised it without a supporting frame is argued over to this day.
Can I arrange the photos the way I want?+
Yes, you can. Every page allows full personalization — you can change the layout and arrange the photos entirely according to your preferences. If you prefer a faster option, use auto-fill, which arranges the photos in chronological order.
Will my photos look the same in print as on screen?+
Slight color differences are possible — screens display colors using light, while printing uses ink. Even so, your photos will look as close to the original as possible.
Can I start creating a book now and finish it later?+
Yes. Your diary photobook is automatically saved in the app, so you can continue whenever you like and order it at any time.
